CELEBRATIONS

RAKSHA BANDHAN (On 7th  August 2017) : Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the school on 7th  August 2017. The programme started with Mangalacharan  followed by a speech of Devendra sir. Rakhi offered to Swamiji’s Portrait by Rama Didi . The students were taken to six different places by the teachers to spread the messages of brotherhood and unity.

INDEPENDENCE DAY ( On 15th August 2017) : Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August. Principal didi hoisted the national flag at 7:30 am and the national anthem was sung and it is followed by Principal’s address. In her address she highlighted the significance and importance of the Day. A group song was also presented by the students followed by a speech of class XI student Sonali Dey.

JANMASTAMI (On  16th August 2017) :  Janmastami was celebrated in the school  on 16th August 2017. The students of classes KG – V attended the programme. Students came in colourful dresses. The programme started with mangalacharan followed by a Puja of Lord Krishna.The tiny tots of KG dressed up as Lord little Krishnas and little Radhas and performed a dance followed by a story telling.The programme was concluded with Shantimantra followed by Prasad distribution.

TEACHERS DAY (On 5th  September 2017): It  was celebrated on 5th September 2017 in the school. Class XII students took the classes as acting teachers . Prakash Ranjan Sir delivered a speech on the significance of the day. Classes were held up to 10:30 AM.Class XI students have organized the  cultural  pragramme in the school prayer hall where the principal of the school addressed the students and different cultural items were performed by students. The programme concluded with Shanti path.

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY(On 11th September 2017) : It has been celebrated in our school in two phases. In first phase “An inter school Quiz competition ” has been organized where six schools took part . The programme started at 9.00 am with Mangalacharan and a speech by Vice Principal sir on the significance of the day. A student of class XI Science Sri S. Dibakar presented the Chicago speech.
            The second phase celebration has been organized by Margherita Nagar Samiti. A college level seminar was held on the topic “ Role of Youth to make new India “ where seven colleges participated. Malviya  Sir delivered a speech on Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address and on sister Nivedita’s 150th Birth Anniversary.The programme concluded with Shanti path.
